Collecting from Birmingham

From the city centre take the A441 Pershore Road south through Kings Norton, then the A435 Alcester Road towards Wythall. We're just past the Wythall roundabout, ten minutes from junction 3 of the M42. Trains run from New Street to Wythall station in 25 minutes and we're a five-minute walk from there, so you don't need a lift to collect.

A weekend that works from Birmingham

Collect at 3pm Friday, head north on the A38 and M42 and you're parked up at Hayfield by half five with time for the Lantern Pike Inn. Saturday, walk Kinder from the campsite or drive twenty minutes to Castleton and the caves. Sunday morning, breakfast in the van, back down the A515 through Ashbourne and home by 10am Monday for the return. Three nights, about 170 miles, no packing beyond clothes and food.

Where do I collect the campervan in Birmingham?

From our base in Wythall, B47 6NG, twenty minutes south of the city centre and ten from the M42. The full address and parking instructions arrive with your pre-departure email. You can leave your car with us while you travel.

Can you arrange collection outside working hours?

Often, yes. Ask when booking and we'll do our best to fit around trains and work.

Is there anywhere to park a campervan in Birmingham city centre?

Not really: most city-centre car parks have a 2.1 metre height limit and the KNAUS is 2.6 metres. Treat the city as the place you leave from, not somewhere to tour in the van.

Do I need to be in Birmingham's Clean Air Zone?

No. Wythall is outside the zone, and the routes we suggest head away from the city, so the charge never comes up.
